A Miscalculation

There are more guns in the U.S. than there are people.

Not all of them are in the hands of MAGAts.

President South African Marshmallow Boy, and his First Lady, Trumpie the KKKlown, as they gleefully take away more and more from the American people, and make more and more people desperate and angry, may want to consider that. 

Sure, they're in a bubble where all they hear is that they are beloved by one and all, and what a great job they're doing.

Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were in a bubble, too. 

So were all of the Romanovs and Saddam Hussein.

But, like the man said, "Shit happens".

Still More Thoughts. Still More Prayers.

Here's a thought:

GUNS ARE THE PROBLEM

And only an imbecile still doubts this.

Here's a prayer:

I pray that all of the people who love their guns more than they love their fellow humans DIE from their one true love. 

Please let them take the politicians, NRA, gun manufacturers, and media people who support this madness with them.

And the sooner the better.

No More Thoughts, No More Prayers

What's the point, really?

Thoughts and prayers do nothing for the dead. And very little, if anything, for their survivors

They might conceivably make the person "thinking and praying" feel a little better...but honestly what use is that?

None.

What we desperately need is action. Background checks, waiting periods, a ban on military style weapons, no guns for the mentally ill, a national gun registry, limits on ammunition sales--all permissible under the "well regulated" clause of the Second Amendment--there are many things we could do.

All of which are, unfortunately, things that #MoscowMitch McConnell is unwilling to allow.

Action might offend his "backers" and by "backers" I mean owners.

One of Moscow's owners, the NRA, doesn't want any kind of limitations on guns--despite 90% of Americans wanting, indeed demanding, them.

But....don't hold your breath.

Because #MoscowMitch knows which side his bread is buttered on. Besides, his other owners, the Russians, are no doubt enjoying the chaos our national gun fetish has unleashed.

So, let's all just sit back and wait for the next massacre...shouldn't be too long...

Mass Murder Is As American As Apple Pie

Not much to add to the title.

17 dead? Ho hum.

Most of them children? Ho hum.

This is how we live now.

The NRA has the Republican party (and a handful of useful idiots from the Democrats, too) in their pockets.

And the NRA exists primarily to sell guns.

Forget that bullshit about safety and training and hunting and Constitutional rights and all the other bullshit that that PIG Wayne LaPierre spews.

The NRA exists to scare people into buying as many guns as they can.

So no, this isn't primarily a "mental health" issue.*

This is a $$$$$ issue. The NRA pays $$$$$ to their bought and sold Congressmen/women to keep the vast majority of Americans unsafe.

Ho hum.  17 dead? Price of freedom, my friend. Price of freedom. Just another day in our "Armed Madhouse."

*If we can get believing in white supremacy, racism, and fervid gun worship officially declared mental illnesses, then and only then, can we call this a mental health issue.

The Good News

The good news is that even though we have only twice as many guns per hundred people more than the next closest nation, we have four times more gun deaths per hundred people than the next closest nation!

So, though we may trail other nations in health care, public education, support for the arts, mass transit, and various other signs of advanced civilization, we remain incredibly efficient killing machines.

America, fuck yeah!
