That my friends, is the entire economic policy of your Republican Party.
A) Let's do away with the minimum wage.
B) Let's get rid of OSHA, the EPA, the FDA, and all those pesky regulations.
C) Let's shred the safety net.
D) Let's destroy the unions.
E) Let's gut public education.
F) Let's privatize Social Security.
G) All of the above.
We need lots of uneducated, desperate people, willing to work for anything, and in any conditions.
That's what our bosses want, and that's what we're going to give them!
Oh, and God Bless America!
Don and David. Just two guys from Arizona who tend to get a bit ticked off about all sorts of things. So we've decided we need somewhere to vent -- and we will vent about anything. Mostly politics, but we'll talk about books, music, movies and anything else that strikes our fancy. We're also pretty big Springsteen fans (especially Don) so you're likely to see some videos here.. We hope you will let us know your thoughts about our rants -- but we promise to treat you fairly.

Oh, I Got Gambling Money
It's amazing!
There's never enough money for education.
Or to feed and house the poor.
Or provide basic healthcare for everyone.
Or for repairing our crumbling infrastructure.
Or to create jobs.
Or to replace fossil fuels with cleaner, renewable energy.
Or to care for our veterans.
But there is always enough money to go to war.
You know the old joke, a guy in Las Vegas asks a stranger for money for an operation for his mother. The stranger replies, "How do I know you won't use any money I give you to gamble with?" And the first guy answers, "Oh, I got gambling money."
Funny, isn't it?
And what is truly amazing is how quickly conservatives become Keynesians when there are war profits to be made!

Tough Love
I don't think it's a good idea sending any Federal aid down South to deal with their latest natural disaster. After all, that would just reek of socialism, and we all know how much ya'll hate socialism.
No, it's time for some tough love. As a nation we can't afford to continue to bail them out every time the wind blows or it rains a little. They'll get dependent on the government. They'll get lazy. It's just like welfare, isn't it?
My suggestion is that next time the weather gets a little ugly, our Southern cousins should try praying harder.
That way, whatever happens to them, at least they'll know where they stand with God.
