Of course the Republican party now wants "unity" and "healing".

I wonder, would that be like the "unity" they showed President Obama for 8 years?

That slack jawed, racist, knife in the back, put party (and Russia, of course) before country kind of unity? 

And as far as "healing", they are the cause of almost all of our wounds. So let them heal themselves before bothering the rest of us.

God, what a miserable collection of cunts they are. Breathtaking.

Does anyone with a functioning brain think that impeaching The Grotesque One again is a bad idea? He is a traitor who tried to overthrow our government. Leading his idiot legions from the comfort of his lazyboy. Diet coke in his pudgy, soft hands, drool frothing on his lizard lips, bronzer puddling in the folds of his many chins, adult diaper full from the excitement.

Personally, I'd opt for saving time and money and just put that orange son of a bitch, his three eldest children, and his enablers against a wall. Blind fold optional.

But then, I hold a grudge like Stalin held a grudge. Like a Sicilian holds a grudge.

You might consider that a weakness. I admit, it isn't my best trait. Somehow, though, I find it works for me.

The overwhelming hypocrisy of the GOP is mind boggling. However, without it, they would have no core values at all but the lust for power and money.

They cannot govern. They can only steal. And sow chaos. 

Yes, it would be nice to have unity and healing. But before that we should have trials. Lots of them.

After they're over, we can have unity and healing--at least as much as we can stomach. 

But first we must have Justice.

A Traitor Until The Bitter End

You would think that a man who has declared bankruptcy so many times would know when to cut and run.

But no.

Apparently Donald J. Trump is going to ride the crazy train to the very end of the line.

I guess Il Trumpo still thinks that he's immune to the laws of this land.

And why not? He's gotten away with all sorts of illegal crap his entire worthless life. In fact, his business career has been based on illegal crap. Mob concrete, scab labor, stiffing his sub contractors, suing people who can't afford lawyers--there are many arrows in the Trump quiver. 

And he's always gotten away with it.

Why should treason and sedition be any different?

He expects to bluff and threaten his way out of every situation.

So why should encouraging a mob of his delusional halfwits to storm the Capitol be any different?

But it is. Oh yes, it is. You can fuck with a lot of stuff. But not that. And all of his little Republican helpers, Biggs, Gosar, Greene, Guiliani, Boebert, McCarthy and the rest should be updating their resumes. Maybe Russian Television is hiring.

Of course, his army of imbeciles will always stay with him. Like any cult, once you've drunk too much of the Kool-aid the only way out may be death. And that is a problem that we will have to deal with in the coming years. But for the majority of sentient Americans, he's finally crossed the line.

When even a piece of opportunistic garbage like Moscow Mitch McConnell turns against you, you've gone too far.

There will be trials, there will be asset seizures, there will be prison sentences. Best to fuel up the private jet and punch the coordinates for Moscow or Riyadh into the navigation system.

Anyone with the last name of "Trump" might consider an alias. This applies to "Kushner" as well.

(The most amusing aspect of this whole tragedy is that Ivanka, aka Princess Sparkle Pony, thinks she has a future in politics. Maybe she can be the head snitch in whatever prison she ends up in.)

Personally, I would dispense with jail time for her daddy and just put him up against a wall somewhere. Blindfold optional.

But then I'm old school when it comes to treason.

Of course, the House of Representatives is chock full of Republicans who are even worse.

Send In The Clowns

So the time has come for Moscow Mitch McConnell to have his show trial. Stalin would be so proud.

Of course, in Stalin's Russia the innocent were convicted, and here the guilty will walk. But still...

Let's sit back and watch the gutless Republican Insane Clown Posse, led by Mitch and that Belle of the South, Lindsey Graham, dissemble and distract, whatever it takes to muddle the proceedings. That remains the only thing they're really good at.

To be blunt, what we have here is a bunch of traitors, bought and paid for by the Russians, with Moscow Mitch acting as bursar, doing their damnedest to keep an idiot, a crook, a liar, in short a complete embarrassment to the nation, in office. 

"Follow the money" and you will end up in Moscow.

Witnesses or no witnesses, it won't make any difference to the Trump Cult.

They love their boy. And won't believe anything negative about him. In their tiny, malformed brains he is them and they are him. A match made in Hell.

Send in the clowns? Don't bother. They're here.

Indefensible

Sometimes, when you go to the zoo, if the apes and monkeys are angry, they will fling their feces at you. (For any Trump supporters out there, feces means shit.)

Often, that's all they can think of doing when they get really, really agitated.

I was reminded of this today while watching clips of the Republicans questioning three noted law professors regarding impeachment.

Since their Orange Pig God has indeed committed various impeachable offenses, despite their loud, incoherent, spittle flecked protestations to the contrary, their position is completely indefensible.

So, as their meager deflections and inane arguments fall apart, there is absolutely nothing left for them to do but to start throwing shit, like the lesser primates they so eerily resemble.

Soon the Russian trolls and bots will no doubt join in and begin trying to slander each of the distinguished legal scholars as out of touch elitists, much to the delight of the "real Americans" who are quite comfortable in their bottomless pit of ignorance.

This is no doubt entertaining for their Oinker in Chief and his army of brain dead idiots, including the yes men and women at Fox News.

But it sure reflects badly on what our nation has become. One of our two main political parties has been taken over by some sort of brain eating prion disease.

Crooked As A Dog's Hind Leg*

They got Al Capone on income taxes.

He murdered people. He strong armed people. He bribed. He lied. He cheated. He stole.

But they got him on not paying his taxes.

Al Capone surrounded himself with criminals.

He was a crook, through and through. A very successful crook for many years.

But he wasn't, as far as I can tell, a traitor.

Donald J. Trump has also surrounded himself with crooks.

Unfortunately for Donald J., his crooks aren't nearly as competent as Capone's.

And apparently some of them aren't willing to take the fall for Donald's various crimes.

This must come as a shock to Trump, who has spent his entire adult life committing crimes of one kind or another.

And getting away with it. Either through bribery or intimidation or just shear dumb luck.

That's over.

He will be impeached. He may or may not be convicted by the Senate. Depends on whether or not a few Republicans grow a conscience and a spine.

Regarding the election of 2020, who knows? With the entire GOP determined to look away from Russian interference, we can only keep our fingers crossed about the outcome.

But that doesn't matter, really. The Trump brand, which is one of the only things Donald J. cares about, is over. There will only be a pile of ashes for his awful progeny to inherit--if they all aren't in jail, that is.

*"Crooked as a dog's hind leg" is how my late father-in-law described a certain East Valley politician with whom he was acquainted. It seems appropriate when discussing Donald J. Trump to use it.

It's The Hypocrisy, Stupid (part whatever)

Remember when "The Deficit" was a big deal? Those awful Democrats, led by that awful Obama, were ruining our children's futures by saddling them with "The Deficit"! Yikes!

Now that President Numbnuts and his Congressional enablers have inflated "The Deficit" to a record amount, with no end in sight, and hints of more tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, "The Deficit" is suddenly no big deal.

And it will remain no big deal until there is a Democrat in the White House, and then, as if by magic, the Republicans will start screaming their empty heads off about "The Deficit".

Or what about that tan suit that Obama wore one time. What a catastrophe that was! A blight on all things Americans hold dear! Almost treasonous!

Now we have a Halfwit in Chief who wears an ill fitting blue suit that more often than not looks like he slept in it, accessorized with a clownishly long red tie.

But that's ok. Because he's white, and full of hate. You know, a "real" American. The kind that Fundamentalist Christian Americans can wholeheartedly support.

Remember when the Republicans were the party of "law and order"? And not a collection of crooks? But that was a long time ago. Nowadays, from the First Family on down, they'd steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes.

We used to have allies that we relied on, and who relied on us. Now the only countries that can rely on us are Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Syria.

Donald J. Trump is incapable of obeying the laws of this nation. He has lived a life of illegality since he was very young. He was raised by a criminal. He has modeled himself after criminals. He acts like a criminal.

He is a criminal.

Only a criminal would spend so much time and effort hiding things. Honest people do not behave this way.

And still, after all of this, a large majority of Republicans still think Trump is a "good role model" for children.

This makes perfect sense if you're a Republican.

Not so much if you're a human being.

Not Just A Moron, But A Fucking Moron

Donald J. Trump has, in just a few months, accomplished something that I thought was impossible:

He has made George W. Bush look almost competent.

Almost...

The Trump family itself is a pretty good argument for forced sterilization. Der Trump often boasts of his "good genes". Ha! I didn't know there were specific genes for avarice, greed, racism, sexism, pathological lying, and a total lack of empathy for any other human.

And how 'bout that Cabinet?!

A regular murderers' row of crooks, liars, racists, imbeciles, and the merely unqualified.

The damage that this moron, oh excuse me, apparently the proper term is fucking moron, has inflicted to this nation in such a brief time is mind boggling.

It will take years to undo it. If it can be undone...

And that's if #FakePresident doesn't start a nuclear war--just to show he can.

And for all the "regular" people who still blindly support this Epic Fool, I guess the question is what will it take to get you to stop being suckers?

Or is that genetic, too?

Yet Another Fable, Part 1

And so the Master Negotiator, the winner, the sporter of superior genes, the self-proclaimed multi-billionaire, found himself in a pickle.

After so many bankruptcies--none of which were his fault, of course--no major American bank would loan him a penny!

Now, you might think that a truly master negotiator would be able to work something out with Chase, or B of A, or Wells Fargo, or Citi, or somebody...

But the banks had all been burned by one or more of his bankruptcies, and so they told the Master Negotiator, the winner, the self-proclaimed multi-billionaire, "NO!"

Of course, he could've used some of his own multi-billions, couldn't he?

Hmmmm? Couldn't he? Does Warren Buffet have to borrow money? Does Bill Gates?

But the first rule of grifters everywhere is "never use your own money". (That is, if you have any money of your own.)

And so the Master Negotiator turned elsewhere...

Lo and behold, some nice Russian "businessmen" (hahaha) had some money, lots of money, and they were more than happy to help the Master Negotiator out!

Naturally, there were "terms" attached to these loans. When you borrow money there are always terms. And, depending on the lender, the larger the amount borrowed, the more onerous the terms may be.

But the Master Negotiator had never had to suffer the consequences of any of his many failures, and so, why not take the Russians' money?

Why not indeed?

Stream Of Unconsciousness

The bad acid trip that is the so called Trump "Presidency" continues...

There was (and perhaps is, my subscription to Obituaries Daily having lapsed) a comedian named Professor Irwin Corey.

He spoke highly educated, or at least seemingly highly educated, nonsense.

It was entertaining. But it was also complete nonsense.

Of course, Corey knew he was speaking nonsensical double talk.

And that's what makes him, dead or alive, more qualified to be President of the United States than Donald J. Trump.

It's really something to have a blithering imbecile leading the most powerful nation on the face of the earth.

At least for the time being.

When the indictments start coming, and come they will, Trump may find that he can't incoherently tweet his way out of them.

There will then be a desperate search for multiple fall guys...because nothing is ever DonDon's fault.

However, since there is very little honor amongst thieves, after that fails, perhaps a nice long stay in a federal prison is in order for some of the Trump family. And RICO all of their assets.

Until that glorious day comes, all we can do is sit back and enjoy the daily psychedelic word salad tweets that make Sarah Palin sound almost sane.

And hope that they've hidden the nuclear football from Der Trump.

Nothing Is Ever Donald J. Trump's Fault

It is an amazing thing to reach the age of 70 without ever making a mistake.

All those bankruptcies? Other guys' fault.

The various marriages? Bitches be crazy.

Mob ties? Russian ties? Russian Mob ties? Other dubious foreign loans? Money laundering on an epic scale? Hey, that's just business, and no one is better at business than Donald J. Trump.

The most incompetent Presidency in modern times? Don't blame DonDon. It's just the wicked "fake news" media spreading lies to undermine a great man. The truth is that everything is great! 

Subvert the Constitution? Hire completely unqualified people for highly sensitive positions? Fire the man investigating you? Hey, if the President does it, it's not illegal. Nixon said that, and by golly that's good enough for Donald J. Trump. He is the President, after all.

To have lived all those years without ever having to be responsible for your actions must be wonderful.

Now, of course, somebody always has to pay for jaw dropping incompetence, sleaziness, crookedness, and outright thievery.

But it ain't Donald J. Trump!
