He Likes Hurting People

He likes hurting people.

It really excites him.

Makes his little mushroom almost hard. 

Makes him think he's young again. 

He especially likes hurting people of color and women. 

But really, anyone who he perceives as weaker is fair game.

Immigrants, students, LBGQT, any minority really.

This is a guy who made a career out of fucking over his subcontractors, after all.

Oh, and his siblings, too. 

All of the best qualities of humanity are missing from him.

ALL OF THEM 

In fact, he is probably the single most damaged human in the history of this nation. 

Now, if you can stand to take a good, close look at his parents--and not vomit--much of his behavior can be explained. Nature and nurture working hand in hand.

On the other hand, a lot of people have shitty parents and they don't turn out like Trump. 

Of course, his most fervent supporters, many of whom are in various ways almost as damaged as he is, will NEVER leave him. 

But you wouldn't think that the captains of industry, bankers, lawyers, all very wealthy in their own right, would  bow down so willingly to a 300 pound orange frosted turd in a wrinkled blue suit. This only proves that they are essentially cowards who care much more for their fortunes than for their country. 

And, here's the best part, as he slips deeper and deeper into dementia, which is quite obviously what is happening, 

HE WILL ONLY GET WORSE.

Soon, very soon, we will have a very angry vegetable in his trashy gold oval office, lashing out at everything and everyone.

Fun times. 

Where We Are Now

Picture a large control room. Like the NASA ones we used to see back in the day, before we outsourced our space program to the Ketamine Kid. Or maybe the one at Chernobyl. 

Lots of levers. Lots of flashing lights. Lots of screens. Tons of complicated electronic stuff that you have to have years of training to be qualified to operate.

Now, picture a monkey. Not a higher primate. Not an ape.

A monkey. One of those antic ones, seemingly crazy, that hop around incessantly screeching. Pausing occasionally to throw its shit everywhere. 

That kind of monkey.

Hey, I know! Let's put that crazy monkey in the control room!

Watch him shriek and hop from chair to chair, turning knobs, going from screen to screen, climbing up the walls. Tossing shit all the time.

No idea how anything works. Couldn't care less how anything works. Brain the size of a walnut. Not a clue in his simple monkey head. 

But he's having one hell of a time breaking things. It's fun!

Welcome To The Land Of Make Believe

So now we must pretend that Donald J. Trump is somehow qualified to be President.

That he isn't a traitor.

That he isn't a rapist.

That he isn't a tax cheat.

That he isn't a total fraud.

That he isn't a lifetime grifter, who would steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes. 

That he doesn't really admire Hitler.

That the incoherent garbage that come out of his mouth is somehow wise state craft.

That he doesn't lie about EVERYTHING.

That he isn't just a collection of ugly, insatiable, appetites, with the intellectual capabilities of a very dull child.

That he isn't in Putin's pocket.

That Melania isn't a mid level underwear model from Eastern Europe. That she really deserved her "Einstein" visa. That she will somehow restore "class" to the White House. That she isn't just another grifter like everyone else in Trump's orbit.

That the media isn't ignoring Trump's slide into dementia.

That the Trump administration won't be full of criminals, fools, crooks, amoral billionaires, Putin stooges, and assorted sycophants.

That they won't hurt the majority of Americans. 

That they won't care that they're hurting the majority of Americans.

That Elon Musk is a genius, and not a drug addled freak, with a deep fondness for Nazis.

That the Republicans in the House and Senate aren't happily shitting on the Constitution 24/7/365.

That the majority of the Supreme Court isn't comfortably in the bag for our descent into Christo-fascism.

That the media hasn't been complicit, (for the sake of ratings, for fuck's sake), in this entire sordid charade.

That this is all perfectly normal. 

Gore Vidal called our country The United States of Amnesia. He was right.

Santayana said "those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." He was right, too.

The Lady...Or The Spoiled, Damaged Child

Based on who his parents were, it would be hard for Donald J. Trump to be anything but a spoiled, damaged child.

His father was a racist, sociopathic, mobbed up crook. 

His mother apparently had no interest in being a mother. Or at least no discenible mothering skills.

Throw in Roy Cohn, certainly a contender for worst Americans ever, as a mentor, and the outcome was set.

So...Donald turned out pretty much as one would expect. "The apple", as they say, "doesn't fall very far from the tree."

If he hadn't inherited all that money, cheating his siblings in the process, he would've ended up in a trailer, down by the river. The sort of person good parents would warn their children to avoid.

In a sane world, this wouldn't be anyone's problem--except his immediate family and anyone stupid enough to do business with him.

But, as you may have noticed, this is not a sane world, and there are millions of people who literally worship that pile of Orange Bile.

Rapist, tax fraud, business cheat, adulterer, bully, Putin's puppet, traitor, all wrapped in a smelly package that is rapidly sinking into dementia.

None of that seems to matter to his disciples.

Or to the vile advisors he surrounds himself with. The Project 2025 scum. The people who choose his judges for him. The Libertarian billionaires, especially little Elon Musk. All of them couldn't care less about the majority of our citizens. They care, without exception, for their bank accounts, or their ridiculous religious beliefs, or their deluded views of our history, or their enormous egos. Or maybe just for the blinding whiteness of their skin. They're all committed to using him to get what they want.

Not what's good for the people. What's good for them. The people be damned.

Fortunately, I believe that there are more good people in this country than there are MAGAts.

At least, I hope so.

It's either President Harris, or the end of the American experiment.

It's just that simple.

 

The Grift Goes On

Just as there are people still waiting to be Raptured.

Just as there were, for many years, Japanese soldiers hiding in the jungles of the South Pacific, convinced that WWII was still a "thang", indeed a "winnable thang", long after the A bombs had closed that book.

Just as there are no doubt countless steamer trunks, full of Confederate War bonds tucked away in double wide trailers all across the South, hoping for...well, you know.

So there are apparently millions of people willing to send money to Donald J. Trump for his next "campaign" or "audit" or "whatever".

Other than the "whatever" part, none of this money will be spent on what they think.  

No, Donald J. Trump will spend that money on debt service, on lawyers, on trying to maintain what remains of his lifestyle.

On propping up the crumbling facade of "whatever" remains of Trump World.

The campaign will never happen. The audits are a lunatic's fantasy. Hopefully, "whatever" is left of the Trump family in 2024 will be doing laps around the yard of a maximum security prison somewhere hot.

It is not really that surprising that the chuckle headed MAGAts still, against all reason and all reality, continue to send whatever money they can scrape together to Trump.

They believe in him. Just like many of them believe in the pompadoured flim-flam men that sell them   Jesus. 

And so, money they can't afford to part with is bundled off for yet another Salvation raffle ticket. Collect the whole set. All the while they sit and wait while their Shepherd expands his media empire, buys the latest Gulfstream, and chuckles all the way to the bank.

I wonder what will happen when the Men O' God figure out that Trump's grift is cutting into their grift?

Hell to pay, I'd say.

"Suckers" And "Losers"

Shocked! 

Shocked that our Traitor in Chief would say something callous and heartless and cruel about veterans.

Just kidding.

Not shocked. Not surprised.

The Trump years have left us all numb.  

The flood of horseshit has been so constant, so overwhelming, that at some point even the most vigilant among us have thrown up their hands and turned to the bottle.

Every day has brought another outrage, another affront. Sometimes every hour.

He has shit on the Constitution, he has shit on our laws, he has shit on Barack Obama, he has shit on countless Black Americans, he has shit on women, he has shit on John McCain--both while he was alive and after his death, he has shit on all of our oldest allies, he has shit on Gold Star families, he has shit on just about everything and everyone. 

Except his boss, V. Putin, of course. And his base of low functioning idiots, too.

So, no, it's not surprising that Cadet Bone Spurs would shit all over every American who has ever served in our military.  

They just weren't "smart" enough--or rich enough--to weasel out like he did. They didn't understand that money is everything--the only thing that truly matters--like he does.

The only suckers and losers that I can see are the sad fools who continue to support those large chunks of human garbage known as Donald J. Trump and his scum family.

So Bill Barr's Department of Justice is dropping all charges against Michael Flynn...

Is anyone surprised by this?

If you are, you need to remember one thing: Bill Barr has always been a Republican hack.

And if the truth is ever allowed to come out about Flynn, and Manafort, and Stone, and McConnell, and the Trump family and their Russian buddies, that would be the end of the Republican Party.

Bill Barr has fought his entire adult life to protect the simmering cesspool that is the modern Republican Party.

That, and a brutally medieval interpretation of Catholicism, are the foundation of what passes for his belief system.

Deep down, Barr is probably as repelled by Trump as anyone else with a semi-sentient brain. But that's not the point.

The point is that his party is imperiled, and he will do anything, tell any lie, break any law, shit on the Constitution, to preserve it.

Crooked As A Dog's Hind Leg*

They got Al Capone on income taxes.

He murdered people. He strong armed people. He bribed. He lied. He cheated. He stole.

But they got him on not paying his taxes.

Al Capone surrounded himself with criminals.

He was a crook, through and through. A very successful crook for many years.

But he wasn't, as far as I can tell, a traitor.

Donald J. Trump has also surrounded himself with crooks.

Unfortunately for Donald J., his crooks aren't nearly as competent as Capone's.

And apparently some of them aren't willing to take the fall for Donald's various crimes.

This must come as a shock to Trump, who has spent his entire adult life committing crimes of one kind or another.

And getting away with it. Either through bribery or intimidation or just shear dumb luck.

That's over.

He will be impeached. He may or may not be convicted by the Senate. Depends on whether or not a few Republicans grow a conscience and a spine.

Regarding the election of 2020, who knows? With the entire GOP determined to look away from Russian interference, we can only keep our fingers crossed about the outcome.

But that doesn't matter, really. The Trump brand, which is one of the only things Donald J. cares about, is over. There will only be a pile of ashes for his awful progeny to inherit--if they all aren't in jail, that is.

*"Crooked as a dog's hind leg" is how my late father-in-law described a certain East Valley politician with whom he was acquainted. It seems appropriate when discussing Donald J. Trump to use it.

It's The Hypocrisy, Stupid (part whatever)

Remember when "The Deficit" was a big deal? Those awful Democrats, led by that awful Obama, were ruining our children's futures by saddling them with "The Deficit"! Yikes!

Now that President Numbnuts and his Congressional enablers have inflated "The Deficit" to a record amount, with no end in sight, and hints of more tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, "The Deficit" is suddenly no big deal.

And it will remain no big deal until there is a Democrat in the White House, and then, as if by magic, the Republicans will start screaming their empty heads off about "The Deficit".

Or what about that tan suit that Obama wore one time. What a catastrophe that was! A blight on all things Americans hold dear! Almost treasonous!

Now we have a Halfwit in Chief who wears an ill fitting blue suit that more often than not looks like he slept in it, accessorized with a clownishly long red tie.

But that's ok. Because he's white, and full of hate. You know, a "real" American. The kind that Fundamentalist Christian Americans can wholeheartedly support.

Remember when the Republicans were the party of "law and order"? And not a collection of crooks? But that was a long time ago. Nowadays, from the First Family on down, they'd steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes.

We used to have allies that we relied on, and who relied on us. Now the only countries that can rely on us are Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Syria.

Donald J. Trump is incapable of obeying the laws of this nation. He has lived a life of illegality since he was very young. He was raised by a criminal. He has modeled himself after criminals. He acts like a criminal.

He is a criminal.

Only a criminal would spend so much time and effort hiding things. Honest people do not behave this way.

And still, after all of this, a large majority of Republicans still think Trump is a "good role model" for children.

This makes perfect sense if you're a Republican.

Not so much if you're a human being.

You Might Be A Racist If...

You've ever started a sentence with, "I'm not a racist, but..."

You think that slavery wasn't that bad.

You're fond of telling other American citizens to "go back to where they came from."

You have a Confederate flag.

You're a Republican who remains silently complicit.

You support Donald J. Trump.

You are related to Donald J. Trump.

You are Donald J. Trump.

See, it's really not that hard to spot a racist. I don't know what the confusion is. Or the hesitation to call things what they truly are.

Because when someone shows you what they are, over and over again, only a fool wouldn't believe them.

Chances are, unless you inherited absolutely zero traits from him, you, too, would end up being a mobbed up, crooked, racist piece of shit.

And there's a distinct possibility that you might even be a bigger mobbed up, crooked, racist piece of shit. What with the completely unwarranted sense of privilege that might come from such an upbringing.

Now, say you have kids.

Let's call them, oh, I don't know, Junior, Princess, and the Other One.

Here again, unless they inherited absolutely zero traits from you (and honestly, what are the odds of that?), they too would probably be mobbed up, crooked, racist pieces of shit.

Because you are a delusional narcissist as well, you might have even been able to convince yourself that you have "superior genes".

And Now, A Few Words About Stupid People

The key thing about stupid people is that they seldom understand how truly stupid they are.

And, unfortunately, there really is nothing that we can do about that.

It just is. Like the sun rising and setting. Like the tides. Like gravity.

Trust me. I've been dealing with this shit almost all of my life. Since I was a wee lad.

You can pretend that they're like us. But they're not.

They're stupid.

Will they ever change?

No. They're stupid for life. Forever.

There is a difference between stupid and ignorant.  Ignorant people can sometimes be educated.
Sometimes.

But there is no practical difference between willfully ignorant and stupid.

Of course, not all stupid people are Republicans.

But, at this point, all Republicans are stupid people.

Stupid to ignore silly things like facts and evidence. Stupid to continue to support that traitor, sullying the White House and disgracing our nation on a second by second basis.

They say Judas got 30 pieces of silver...these folks got a tax cut that doesn't benefit 99% of them and a never ending campaign of hatred and fear and stupidity.

Stupid. Blind. Bigoted. Hate filled.

Where Are We Now, Where Are We Now?

As we wander, timidly I suppose, into a brand new, shiny year, we must pause, take a deep breath, and ask ourselves, "where are we now?"

Robert Mueller, who is so very much smarter than anyone attacking him, is apparently reaching the end of his investigations. Plural.

And the House, now controlled by the Democrats, is set to launch its own investigations. Plural.

So, what can we expect them to yield?

That the current resident of the White House is a traitor is obvious. That he is a willing puppet of Vladimir Putin (and the Saudis, too, for that matter), is a given. Why? $$$$$$. That he has surrounded himself with a collection of crooks, liars, racists, fools, and traitors is also obvious. This collection includes his three oldest children. But we knew that already.

What else might Mueller and the Democrats expose?

I suspect that there may not be much left of the Republican Party or the NRA when all is said and done.

And that's where it gets tricky.

We only have the two parties, really. The Libertarians are a clown car full of Ayn Rand worshiping punks. And the Greens are simply nothing. They contribute only background noise.

But now, one of our two major parties is on the verge of being revealed for all to see as so totally corrupted by money that they have openly betrayed our country--just to win an election.

This will not go over to well with the folks who call themselves conservatives. And not just the MAGAts. There are many millions of people who still identify as proud Republicans.

How will they react?

We know the MAGAts don't believe in facts, so they'll undoubtedly deny everything, scream "fake news" and rally around the Great Orange Pustule. However, they are just a loud, obnoxious, idiotic minority.

But what about the majority of the Republican Party?

That will be the central question of 2019.

Other Trump Related Children's Toys Just In Time For Christmas!

Perhaps by now you've seen something called Trumpy Bear.

It is, believe it or not, a Trump themed stuffed toy bear...you know, for the kids.

Not all parents love their children, after all.

But Trumpy Bear is not the only Trump related child's toy.

There's Baby Trump, which shits all over the floor. Repeatedly. And then blames somebody else. That's all it does. But, in the interest of accuracy, isn't that enough?

Then there's a scale model of Trump Tower, complete with scab Polish laborers, Mob concrete, lots of cheap, gold colored crap, and more fire code violations than you can count. Bankrupt casino sold separately.

Don't forget Lil Trump. Despite being life size, with almost realistic paste on hair, tiny little hands, and a shiny red tie you could trip over, this doll is a moral and ethical pygmy. Couple that with a complete lack of empathy and you have just the thing for the lil sociopath in your life.

For the child with a hint of larceny, there's the easy bake Trump Tax Return. Talk about cooking the books! Help your child learn numbers, while he also learns how to cheat the government. Fun for the whole family.

And what Christmas would be complete without TalkingTrumpy? Just pull the cord and he starts to lie. About anything. About everything. And he never, ever, stops...

I Know! Let's Run Government Like A Business!

This notion pops up periodically.

There is, in fact, at least one current candidate in Arizona who promises, if elected, to "run government like a business."

(Of course he's a Republican.)

And I wonder, as one does, what sort of business?

Like a Trump business, for example?

A business that lies and steals and cheats on its taxes? A business that discriminates against people of color?

A business that hires thieves, liars, fools, racists, sexists, homophobes, and outright imbeciles?

A business that can only turn a profit by money laundering for foreign criminals?

A business that is a world wide laughing stock?

A business that goes bankrupt and leaves working people holding the bag?

That sort of business?

That sort of government?

Because that's what we have right now.

And if you really, truly want more of that shit, then by all means vote for the "run government like a business" guy.

"Russia, If You're Listening..."

Please take him.

Please?

It's only fair. He's yours, after all. You made him.

Take his whole family. They'll fit right in. They're kleptocratic scum without an ounce of empathy or humanity. Ring a bell?

Now, the boys are very stupid, it's true. But you've dealt with your share of imbecilic scions in the past. It comes with the territory.

And the girl, well, she has some serious Daddy issues...You have psychiatrists in Moscow, right?

We will throw in his entire cabinet, too. It's a package deal. You could put them on display by Lenin's tomb. Keep your children in line by frightening them with the perils of unchained capitalism.

Oh, and make room for approximately 30 million frothing at the mouth morons. We will pay the freight.

They're his base, and he'd be lost without them.

Doesn't matter where you put them. A gulag in Siberia sounds about right.

Or, you could just slaughter them. Up to you.

Another Modest Proposal

Since we all believe in "law and order", I offer up this simple solution to a growing problem:

If you are guilty of treason against the United States, you will be put to death...on national television.

Just imagine the ratings!

None of this lengthy jail sentence nonsense.

No.

Hang 'em or shoot 'em.

Let the traitors choose which way they'd like to be removed from this life. Rope or gun.

But they have to go, as a warning to anyone who might consider committing treason in the future.
And, of course, all of their assets will revert to the Treasury.

Now, it looks like this will open up a lot of seats in Congress, in a several state houses, some law firms, and a handful of high paying media jobs as well.

Fox News will be especially hard hit. 

And that's a good thing.

New blood. Fresh ideas.

No traitors.
